When I first heard about the image of Miley Cyrus appearing "topless," the thought of yet another Disney role model falling victim to Hollywood's notoriously narcissistic culture saddened me. After all, there has been a parade of Disney girls gone wild in recent years. So, I guess it didn't surprise me to hear that another teen girl was caught in an uncompromising position.
But, in this case, I agree with Disney that Miley was shamelessly exploited and manipulated. And I am certain that Miley was likely very embarrassed when she saw the final Photoshopped image depicting her as a child-woman hussy.
This whole incident creates a wonderful teaching opportunity for every DODO. Girls need to understand the Internet is forever. Images they take in fun with friends -- even girls photographing girls for kicks -- and e-mailed among each other will wind up in the hands of people the girls nev
