April Antoniou said she had frequently turned to Google but had no luck because her father's name is relatively common and she knew very little about him. But when she typed "Scott Robert Becker Looking for April" into the Google search box a few days ago it landed her on a website created by her father seven years ago -- www.aprilbecker.com -- where he had left a message.

Lisa and Anthony "A.J." Demaree's three young daughters were taken away by Arizona Child Protective Services last fall when a Walmart employee found partially nude pictures of the girls on a camera memory stick taken to the store for processing, according to the suit. The Peoria couple's attorney said Walmart turned the photos over to police and the Demarees were not allowed to see their children for several days and didn't regain custody for a month while the state investigated.

(April 9, 2009) -- In its ruling, issued Monday, the province's court of appeal declared the girl was caught up in a "very rare" set of circumstances, and her father didn't have sufficient grounds to contest the court's earlier decision. "Either way, he doesn't have authority over this child anymore. She sued him because she doesn't respect his rules. It's very hard to raise a child who is the boss," said the father's attorney.

(April 9, 2009) -- “As Lent was about to begin, I was looking for something I could do to strengthen the congregation here, their journey of faith,” said Vasey. So instead of rattling off the same old sermons about sacrifice and faith, the pastor chose to showcase the mini-plays, with a twist: He put his daughter in the role of Christ, while he played Satan.

(April 9, 2009) -- Dena Christoffersen likes to text. In one month alone the Cheyenne, Wyo., 13-year-old sent 10,000 texts and received about 10,000, mostly at school. It all adds up, especially if your family's phone plan doesn't include texting. Dad hit the roof when the bill arrived: $4,756.25. Then he hit Dena's phone — an LG — with a hammer.

The Rainbow Castle has been "tricked out with lots of bells and whistles," says owner Greg Foster, including swings, a climbing wall, a rope ladder, a slide, monkey bars and a "penthouse with a double bubble." The generation gap meets the digital divide
By Greg Gerber @ :: 125 Views ::

(March 21, 2009) -- My father's rocky entry into the digital age forced me to make a choice. It wasn't so much that it bothered me to have to explain that very few people on Facebook are actually married, although it did, and it wasn't so much that my profile has its fair share of questionable photo albums and questionable wall posts, although it does. What it all came down to was that while it's natural for those of us who grew up digital to have a digital component to our friendships and relationships, and a digital representation of ourselves on the Internet, my relationship with my father has never had one. And it hasn't needed one. So that evening, I did the unthinkable — I unfriended my dad on Facebook.

“When I was 17, my father had a stroke and was hospitalized for about two months. Nothing like that had ever happened to me. This experience demonstrated to me, first-hand, the importance of good and caring nurses. I had opportunities to talk with his nurses about their education and their jobs and these conversations made me realize that I was born to be a nurse. I wanted to do for others what they had done for my family and me. "
