(July 11, 2008) -- GameChains (www.GameChains.com), now available and compatible with Nintendo DS games, helps to alleviate loss by joining the small and expensive cartridges onto a metal chain, letting players switch games quickly and conveniently, but still leaving them removable from the chain. The GameChains tag line, written by the 9-year-old co-inventor, says it all: "You don't carry your keys without a key chain, why carry your games without GameChains!"

(July 8, 2008) -- Her father is famous but Malia Obama is like a lot of 10-year-olds: she sometimes finds him embarrassing. The Obama girls were interviewed last week in Butte, Mont., where the Illinois senator took the family to help him with the double task of campaigning on the Fourth of July and celebrating Malia’s 10th birthday that day. Malia seemed excited by the possibility of moving to the White House if her father is elected in November. She and her sister would be the youngest kids to live at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. since Amy Carter arrived as a 9-year-old in 1977.

''C'mon, baby, c'mon, baby,'' he says, his green eyes sparkling. For some new Army recruits, being called 'baby' would be demeaning. But for Gabrielle, who's 18, it's comforting. |
(June 25, 2008) -- To break the stereotype that children should spend more time with their mothers, the Morgan County Family Center engaged kids and their fathers in activities that are distinctly dad. During the organization’s Dad’s Day Out on the Sherman Early Childhood Center lawn Saturday, fathers taught their kids how to properly cast a fishing line and hit a baseball from a tee. The father/child teams also raced across the field after the kids dressed their dads in their clothing of choice, and an innocent water balloon toss quickly evolved into an intense water battle.
